How To Treat Eczema - Part 4

Understanding the common symptoms of eczema - Eczema is a group of skin conditions where the skin is irritated or inflamed. The most common symptom of eczema is itchiness. Scratching these skin areas will lead to crustiness, sores and scaliness of your skin. While the exact reason for eczema is still not known, stress is a factor which is said to worsen eczema symptom. It usually starts in infancy stage, but for some people it can start at the age of 30 also.

Looking for symptoms - The most common areas of the skin that is affected by eczema are your face, inside if the elbows, behind your knees, the nape of your neck, your hands and feet. For infants, the eczema usually starts in the scalp and cheeks. This can begin affecting the baby as early as it is 2-3 months old. For children's at the age of 2 and puberty, eczema can begin to show in areas like elbow crease, arms and back of their knees.

Determining the type of eczema - While the most common type of eczema symptoms are tichiness and inflammation, depending on the type of inflammation and the affected location ou can also differentiate them.

*  If you have eczema of your soles or your palms or have blisters filled with liquid then you must  be probably suffering from dyshidrotic eczema.

* If you are noticing inflammation by touching a substance such as clothes, jewelry, etc the you must suffering from allergic eczema.

* If you have a yellow skin or scalp, then it could be seborrheic dermatitis.

* If you notice coin shaped patches on eczema affected skin, mainly on areas like arms, buttocks or lower legs, then it could be nummular eczema.


If you are suffering from eczema then below are tips that can help you control and reduce it.

* Get 8 hrs of sleep every day. If there is any trouble in getting proper sleep, then you can have bath in warm water which helps to relax your body. Make sure your room is cool.

* You can also use a room vaporizer with lavender oil. It is said relax your body if you have trouble getting sleep.

* Get an allergy test. It can help you figure out what kind of food, substance, animals or anything else is triggering your eczema.

* Buy a pair of gloves if your hands are affected badly. Apply lotion or coconut oil an hour before wearing the gloves.

* You can consider acupuncture by visiting a licensed acupuncturist. Alternatives like ayurvedic medicines and homeopathy can also be considered. Even though these have longer sessions of medication they can are said to heal eczema.

* And finally be determined. Thinking that you will never get rid of eczema is not going to do any good for you. Being lazy and giving up easily will not help you beat eczema. Start your battle against eczema today.
