Using chamomile - One of the popular treatment for eczema is chamomile. Dried chamomile flowers can be used to prepare chamomile tea by boiling it for 15 minutes approximately. Allow it to cool down slightly then use a clean, dry cloth to apply it on your skin, by slightly compressing it on your skin and removing the extra moisture. Do this for 10-15 minutes.
Topical supplements can also be used to control the spread
of eczema and reduce them. Below are some of the ways that you can follow to
treat eczema.
Using aloe vera - Instead of using an aloe vera cream or
related product, apply aloe vera extract from the actaul plant. Remove a leaf
from the plant and extract the gel like substance from inside. Apply this gel
all over the eczema affected skin and leave it for sometime. Natural aloe vera
is free from all kind of side effects and is safe to use. Aloe vera is being
used as a moisturizing agent for thousands of years and many people have
benefitted from it.
Using Calendula - Calendula is another natural product that
you can apply on your skin, as it does not have any side effects . You can also
mix both aloe vera and calendula before applying it to your skin. The extracts
of calendula flower is used in making skin lotions to reduce inflammation.
You can find calendula products such as cream, soap,
lotions, etc in health food stores. These are same as those found in drug
stores but since they contain more amount of pure calendula they are free from
irritating ingredients.
Oats - Fill an old unwanted cotton or nylon sock with
natural oats and tie it on your bathtub. Let the water run through the oats.
Oats are said to contain anti- itching components that can be very soothing to
the skin. Another alternative is to prepare an oatmeal paste and applying it
directly on the eczema infected area.

It should be noted that chamomile is said to cause allergic
reaction to few people, so it is best to test it before using.
Coconut oil - Organic
virgin coconut oil is used as a moisturizer and many people have found
it to be more effective than creams bought from drug stores. You can find these
online, heath stores or selected supermarkets.
Sweet almond oil - Sweet almond oil contains oleic and
ursolic acids which is used for treatment of eczema. These are believed to heal
the skin and reduce inflammation. This can be used as a moisturizer by applying
it on your skin, or using it before or after your bath, which will protect from
drying of skin from hot water.
Lemon - Cut a lemon in half and apply it on eczema affected
skin. You might have a burning sensation when applying but you can see some
changes by applying it regularly. This burning sensation is because the lemon
is removing the inflammation from your skin and happens mostly when you rub it
or if you have a broken skin on eczema part.
